Katarina Vatovec is an Assistant Professor of European Union Law at the Graduate School of Government and European Studies and at the European Faculty of Law, New University, Slovenia. She studied law at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, and obtained her LL.M. in Public International Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London. She completed her PhD in International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. She works primarily within the field of EU law. Her research interests are also in the fields of international and human rights law. She has published several articles and is the co-author of The Lisbon Treaty with Introductory Notes (Ljubljana: GV Založba, 2010) and The Commentary on the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia (Nova Gorica: Nova univerza, Evropska pravna fakulteta, 2019).
