PROGRAMME OF WORK
The research project will be carried out over a period of three years as part of the research work of the research group of the Graduate School of Government and European Studies, New University. The research work will be carried out both in libraries in Slovenia and if necessary also abroad at foreign universities. Library research in the libraries will be complemented by interviews with relevant stakeholders in the field within Slovenia and abroad, as well as by visiting relevant United Nations conferences and meetings of the European Union in the field of business and human rights. The first phase of the assessment of relevant literature and preparation of the theoretical concepts will be held in libraries. In the first and the second phase, we will explore existing literature and case law and conduct field discussions with representatives of science, business and civil society with the aim of formulating proposals for the reform of the Slovenian and global normative system for business and human rights. In the third and fourth stages, we will analyse and synthesise the collected data and prepare articles and normative proposals on best practices for stakeholders from practice. Most of the project research hours will be dedicated to research and writing of original scientific articles, chapters and monograph that we will work on in the second, third and fourth stages.
